Does your child struggle to say the soft "Th" clearly? Do you get lost googling "How to say the th sound?" Did you know that it's often one of the last sounds to develop, but 90% of children have the soft "TH" mastered by age 6? As a homeschool graduate, mom, and speech language pathologist I meet a lot of moms working on the "th" sound. It's a sound we've worked on in my house too! It can make speaking confidently, reading and spelling trickier than it needs to be. But what if you had a simple step-by-step plan to help your child get a clearer soft "th" in just 30 days?
ONE: Take the Quiz
to find out which calendar might fit your child best and lower frustration, while still creating enough challenge for growth. The quiz looks at whether or not your child can say the soft “th” sound in sentences, words, or at all.
TWO: Follow Your Calendar
Your calendar is your guide to practicing your sounds a little bit at a time. Set a timer for 5-10 minutes. There are 3 days for each week, and you can flex the days you choose to your schedule as life changes. You can print the calendar, cards, and games so they are ready as you go!
THREE: See How Much You've Grown!
Snag my 30 day mini homeschool speech therapy curriculum for a fun, targeted approach to speech therapy. In just 5-10 minutes a day, 3 days a week you'll have the tools I use to help children say "Thanks" instead of "Fanks." It's fast, effective and it can be speech therapy you love to do together. My favorite kind!
Plus, you'll get engaging activities, printables and connect with other parents in the course comments for camaraderie and support.
FAQ:
Will this course help my child say other sounds? Not usually, but it's pretty neat how some of the things you learn about good sound practice can help you practice other sounds better. Keep an eye out for news about my other speech therapy curricula.
Will it only take 30 days? When working with children, I consistently see change within the first 30 days. Children usually start making the "th" sound usually the very first day (if they weren't before) and they get better and better at it the more they practice with their super parents. This curriculum includes many of the same principles that I use, in an accessible, format. You have to do the work though, to see the results! You can do it!
Why do I want "THirty Days to a Clearer Soft "Th" Sound?" So you don't have to scroll through the internet to find "th" activities only to find that they are more "game" than "game changing," they don't match your child's level, they take crazy setup time, or they just don't work because there is no step by step process and you get overwhelmed. I get overwhelmed too, when I try to make speech sound practice fancy instead of functional.
I know firsthand how important speech development is for social and academic growth. Let me help you fill your toolbox with tools I use everyday in speech therapy!
So sign up, buttercup and let's practice the soft "th" sound together!!!
